Just came from a meeting about Ellie at her school.
She is ready to switch from the communication intense program she is in right now to a more traditional low-incidence classroom. They were on the fence about her needing the program at all, but I think on the whole it was positive for her even for the brief period of time she was there.
It means switching schools and teachers, which stinks, but they have a very comprehensive plan to accomplish the change gradually with lots of time to introduce her to everything and everyone.
She is communicating very well these days, and I think being around the more social kids like she was last year will continue to be a great model for her.
On another note, I think I'm finally ready to upgrade this blog, all I need to do is figure out how to do it. It will be nice to have a blog that people can actually subscribe to, one where I can post audio and photos and video and all that good stuff.
So be on the lookout for that.
